#76…..Gone to the Birds, I Need Answers…….

Reading may be a delight to some…to me it’s a back breaker. Yes books are wonderful if I can sit down long enough, and if I can make it to the 3rd chapter, then the hook is set and I will read almost non-stop to the end…edge of chair…nail biter…can’t put it down. But if I don’t sit down till the end of the day, then sleep will overtake me…..So the solution is of course, magazines with SHORT articles because I’m famous for ripping out the “keep forever” articles but NOT BEFORE taking pen to note paper…”buy paint rollers, 3X black gloss spray paint……p/u heartworm medicine………” etc. etc. etc. So here again, I got myself in trouble with another project that needed immediate attention with no regard to the winter storm….a perfect day to curl up with a book, cook chili…. but IF I open the door to my kitchen…to the garage and put the car outside, then a perfect day to spray bird houses, in my case, a bird city!

WHEN PAINTING YOUR BIRDHOUSES, IT MUST BE DONE IN THE WINTER MONTHS AS BIRDS DO NOT LIKE THE SMELL OF PAINT.  Did I have a choice? Do I pay for magazine subscriptions and ignore the valuable advice of experts? Did my daughter, 2 Too, not give me a bird city chandelier with 6 houses on it for Christmas? Do I not have 3 other bird houses needing attention? Did I not ruin my life with Pinterest and HAD TO HAVE a chandelier that needs to be painted red for hanging 6 hummingbird feeders? Did Russ not put up a post for that chandelier which needs polyurethane staining? And what about the antique apple press? Does it not also need a 3rd coat of matching espresso gloss Min-wax stain? Have you even considered the wire spool I bought at the thrift store for $20 to be the patio coffee table? Does that not also deserve Russ’s loving touch with the sander before I paint it with Rust-oleum’s almond spray gloss?

(Linda, please remind Howard of all the things Russ does for me……..)

So many questions, but I’m sure you can now see that reading definitely causes much work and back strain! Add aspirin to my list…….
