Took a walk down memory lane at #chandler’s #merchantsquare. Not often we walk out of a place with $$ still intact. To say the least, they were pricey. But, my goodness did they have treasures! ! ! “If I were a rich man” (Fiddler on the Roof) we could have backed up a huge truck and taken things home I’ve not seen before ! ! ! These huge statutes from my past were a delight to behold. I knew someone a few years ago who would have given anything to buy the tall knight in shiny armor for a store display. Yet it’s the 1st one I’ve ever seen for sale.
The older I am the more nostalgic I get. It was the best time seeing this stuff!
How I’d love to put the fireplace mantle in a bedroom just for the sake of the decoration, but I have my problems….I have run out of walls. And it is soooo hard parting with a past treasure. This was probably the largest collection of beautiful things gathered together in one place. What fun it would have been to take this home at a whopping $349!
Buzzing Bob’s on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena Calif was what we did as teenagers. It was the place to go…round and round the drive in for hours….reving up the motors and of course the drag race that followed.
