Trying to perfect a re-do has got me dragging my feet. I don’t know if I’m spread so thin and can’t concentrate because I have so many things going on? Never should have gotten that white bedspread for white walls. So now, the splash has to be stunning. I found a lovely table and painted it orange but the lamp is too tall so on The HUNT for a fat base…..Originally the bird pic was above the bed but somehow the balance was out of wack so I bought the easel, which I don’t care for the top but I should be able to be creative with maybe burlap and rafitti. The new rug is good. I like that, with some specks of orange…..
The good news is that I am marathon shopping with my daughter Billie Girl, “2 too”, and we are hitting EVERY antique mall, thrift shop, flea market and garage sale in Pensacola. I guess I can lay the book I bought yesterday on the orange table along with the new reading glasses. The only “treasure” I found is a wooden rocking horse for one of Russ’s buddies, for his projects for $26 after it had been discounted 60% off of the $65 price!….the antique mall put a seat belt around this horse in my truck! Good Heavens! 2 too bought a cast iron antique sewing machine bottom with a glass top table for $45 after we found several others for $150+.
So today we head off with our spiral notebook with a long list of items we are both looking for. EVERYTHING we find we make an offer…as we know it is the end of the month and booth rentals are coming due…..and if they are lagging behind on sales………. We are off on The Hunt ! ! ! ! ! !
