#113…Party on a “GARAGE SALE” Patio……

Bill and Connie came over last night for a bbq and to play cards. A dream night under the stars for sure. Thank you Jeff & Jodie Hummer for our beautiful stamped patio. I have never seen anything as spectacular as the magic you spun with that concrete! And to pick our own colors and to have it done in 5 days. You and your team are amazing ! ! !

But what stands on this patio is mostly from garage sales and Russ’s creativity! The spool table from The Spotted Dog Consignment $20. He had to frame it for the umbrella, from Hilcrest Thrift $20. Iron bistro set from Sparks Flea Market $45. 2 wrought iron chaise loungers from a garage sale in Iowa for $30. Antique apple press Amana Iowa garage sale $60. 2 knick knax $2. Table next to bbq $1 garage sale find. Did I mention that Russ literally dug the pergola (umbrella) out of an overgrown yard…free. A couple of spots had to be welded and then all sprayed black.

Under the next pergola, bought around a Labor Day weekend from Lowe’s WAS full price but we got 5% off with our card. Know one thing…we shopped till we found the bestest price anywhere! The wrought iron table and 4 chairs were bought at a garage sale 18 years ago for $40. Russ made the vinyl round tablecloth. Another matching chair for $5 found 10 years later. Blue fancy chair, yes, another garage sale for $5. He made the hummingbird feeder from a free old wrought iron dining room chandelier…….

It’s all about the HUNT FOR THE TREASURE!  Years and years finding those treasures and building a lifestyle around them.
