It’s so hard keeping up with LaDonna! She just out-flowers me all the time. I saw her beautiful rose moss that she planted right on her rocks and then told me it was so popular you couldn’t find it anywhere. It goes on the list for spring shopping 2021. Now look what she’s done by her pool…and flanked those beauties with flamingos! There’s no keeping up with this woman, but I do have an idea that might top hers……the picture will be coming soon……….
That’s my problem…..I see what someone else has done and I MUST do it myself. I now have a “secret garden”. Is it hidden you ask? No, but I discovered ornamental grass last year and put it everywhere…all kinds, some in shade, some in full sun, some small just to be overshadowed by huge perennials, some huge amidst ground cover, some I cut back in the fall, some in the spring. I made my mistakes, but amidst all my heavy composting and hundreds of pounds of potting soil, all have thrived and grown, BUT IN THE WRONG PLACES to suit me and my “balance” issues.
I caught hub side kick in a good mood, early of a cool morning and he moved my huge potted tomato plants and tilled up my flower plot. It doesn’t look like much now but give it about 2 months. Some I bought, some I divided from wide spreading grasses and some I just moved out of other plots where they were getting lost. The long term plan being…NO EARTH SHOWING! The war on weeds is real. I leaned this all from the gardening subscriptions I get. Now I can say, all is well with my soul because Jesus died for my sins, I asked Him into my heart, and I have read that it is normal for gardeners to be forever moving their plants. Abnormal is more my thing. I’m not sure how happy Russ will be when I ask him to move his 3 year planted tree………out….off the property….a bad memory.
The best way to his heart…spaghetti and garlic bread…………
I did find a wonderful recipe for Snickers Salad…..food talks to his heart. I’m askin’ for a friend.
