It’s only been 5 months since the remodel and last week the flood came…and stood for 2 days, 3 inches deep before I went downstairs to get something……I thank God that it was ONLY rain water and not sewage. We were blessed indeed. We live on a hill, but then so do numerous springs around us. Unfortunately insurance does NOT pay for ground water damage. This was monumental! We had to move fast. Thank you Mike Mooney for rushing right over to help.
We called Serv-Pro in St. Joseph Missouri and they said they’d have a crew over the next day. Because of the flood disaster at the south end of Joetown, they came in to help all the way from Northeast Wichita ! ! ! Rodeana Garon of Business Development had a crew of 3 cleaning our mess. They had many crews around town working. I cannot say enough about these wonderful people. They were such a joy to us…….AND they moved the heavier furniture. One day for tearing everything out, and 6 days of 15 commercial fans and a dehumidifier going around the clock. Baby, they know how to spin that dial on the electric meter ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! After they left, St. Joseph Serv-Pro was prompt in sending 2 trucks to haul off all the bagged up debris.
What a time! My heart hurts heavily for the South end flooding of the Lake Contrary tributary that has absolutely devastated so many families. There is so much going on in other families around me, it’s a full time job sending prayers to heaven for the Lord to intercede in different situations. Thank you Lord for bringing Bill Pevlor’s wife, Sara through her horrific car accident. Thank you Lord for stopping a suicide…..YOU have a plan for her life, thank you Lord for being a comfort to another family hurting right now. It doesn’t matter how high you are riding on life this minute, there will be a point that EVERYONE has to be carried in the arms of the Lord to get through the hell they have gotten into.
Every cloud has a silver lining. Our new polymer floor is almost done and a new remodel will come together. Methinks to paint the basement bathroom cabinet this pink I found in a magazine. Since I have to paint the walls in there…I have some leftover light mint green. OK, my mind is running amuck again with possibilities! ! ! Time to go garage saling.
