#161…Gathering Thoughts

Yes, why are these pictures in the same sentence? What sense do they make together? This has become the clutter of my mind. This is 2020. I am fast approaching the 1st year anniversary of my sabbatical, a plot to get my life in order and all loose ends tied. A two year plan designated to COMPLETE my endless projects, to simultaneously get every room and garage and flower plots done to perfection…

Right.

I was verified as a new Daughter of the American Revolution. My 1st cousins, Shirley and Sue, both of whom I have never met, have discovered our family and they are now new DAR’S also. So we are planning a reunion…….and now I am DAR chair of WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA……and I walk Mt. Mora hunting veteran graves with LaDonna Duncan so we can decorate on Dec 19, simultaneously across America 11 AM our time.

2020 was cancelled. I can’t hug my children or friends. Covid has come to St. Joe and we are now having 1 to 3 deaths daily in a small town of 76,000 people.

We have not traveled this year except for a weekend run to Springfield MO to pick up equipment. Wish Joetown would have a restaurant like this great one..

The flood hit our home. Enter Servpro of NE Wichita,  and Jimmie Hatley of  Www.excelcustomcoatings.com.  We got the damage fixed and JUST moved the furniture in when a $4 water feed line in the bathroom broke and flooded the basement again. The sanding dust is everywhere and have been working overtime trying to get  life back in order….

My dog died. I found this lovely dog picture at Rusty Chandelier for $6 and put it in our guest bedroom. There’s nothing like a dog.

Fall is here. Yesterday we bundled up and winterized outside. The patio is now colorless and stark barren. I’m going to do something big with lights as soon as I can plan again.

I have sooooo many projects started, so much to do.  Several pieces to paint, AFTER I clean out the garage…..get everything done in the basement…..then wreaths…

Life is good. I love all this work and projects, I just need to get to painting again…..
