Good grief! To say Jim is strange is somewhat inadequate. Weird, wild, plum crazy does not even get anywhere near to how he is. Perhaps bizarre scratches the surface….Out of control nails it. Such is this cracked nut in our RV Club. Does such verbage hurt his feelings or offend him? Nah…I’m sure he thinks, if thinking is possible for him, that I’m really being mild and whitewashing his personality.
THEN LIFE HAPPENED.
Life flight to KU. I am amazed how hundred and hundreds of people (as shown on fb) started praying for this loved friend as he was stroking out. Our world stopped. Everyone’s world stopped. What intense value happened in a moment of life. How we………
God listened to all our prayers and spared him. Now, on the road to recovery. So many dusting off their knees as they get up. Life had overwhelmed us, and we knelt.
We had opportunity to be with our other camping friends this weekend, playing cards, minature golfing and talking….and LAUGHING. Yet methinks others were like me, thinking how precious we are to eachother. Our personalities, our walks in life, everything is so different from the other ones. How well we all fit together like a beautiful 1000 pc. puzzle…Yes, that’s good…we can be puzzling!
To say we love Jim and Karen is an understatement. The things they both do to entertain us, to care for us, to pray when we have tough times, what can I say? They are intense friends! To all of us. And in looking around this weekend after the emotions we went through, in looking at our camping buddies, what FINE FINE people each one is. EVERY single person brings to the table what each one of us needs! How wonderful our God is who put this mix together!
So heal my friend. We need you back soon. I thought perhaps you might dream of this shiny suit of armor. You would look so good in it.
