#179…Painting of the Month Club

Garage sales and antique malls. I confess, I am an addict and very passionate about my calling.  This year I turned to art. Unfortunately there is limited wall space in my house, so I have had to recycle my paintings and pictures around the rooms. Then I found a tall metal easel  for $10 at a garage sale and hung a picture on it in a focal place in the dining room. Every so often I change out to the next new found treasure!

Everything has changed in this world due to the pandemic. People have changed. Their buying habits have changed. And garage sales have changed. Art is all over them! It seems like every time I go out I come home with another picture. For an eclectic person as I, it is most difficult to find a “find” that makes my pitter patter race, but this year has grabbed me! But where to put things? My friends now understand why I have started my Painting of the Month Club.

Understandably I have created another problem as to where the buildup of art is going to be…….Perhaps I should put on a studio showing?

Then there’s the problem of a $3 bargain painting and having to change the whole room around it……paint….rugs…..curtains. Hub side-kick smiles and sez it keeps me busy….just as long as I make time to cook…..

I need to talk to Mike Flowers. He wrote on Facebook that he has been non-diabetic for 2 years and lost 45 lbs with diet and exercise! We need that to happen in this house. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about that and have decided, effective today, that dinner plates are now going to be our salad plate size. Thank you Mike for the encouragement!
