#1daughterconniesezthemagicwordsImissedmymamalet’sgoshopping! Having just returned from a road trip, it seemed the most logical thing for us to do. A few more days and I can paint some furniture in the garage, yes it has to be at least 50 degrees, so gathering ideas is good. Those decals fascinate me. I have to have visual ideas to plot my plans, if nothing else but to get color combinations into my colander head…yes they seep out and they’re gone! So I cut pages out of magazines and keep them for reference. It’s my calling. It’s what I do. Interior decorating is my passion, well now I’ve developed a new love with genealogy, not to be confused with my flower plots which I think about all winter, but what I love the most is my family and friends. God has blessed me with the best of the best! ! ! And He gave me Shirley and Charles and Susan, Rick and Beth and Maria, my new cousins, my children and my other children, #2toodaughterbillie and Bobby, Eric and Michelle and Jamie and her husband, not to mention soooooooooooooo many friends, we are blessed indeed. And He has given me some in my family to pray for everyday so they can find their way. I remember some 20 years ago at an extremely low point in my life, all alone….I thought that someday when I go to heaven I will learn that I DID have a grandparent in my unknown family that prayed for me…..it was a specific prayer that I prayed and God set the stage so that one day at a dance class as Russ and I were changing into our street shoes, I mentioned to our new friends, Caroline and Phil Merrigan that my mother told me I was a Daughter of the American Revolution…by 11:00 PM that night LaDonna Duncan had traced my lineage. My whole life changed.
A few days ago, coming home from the road trip, I asked my husband if he would strip the bathroom of all the towel racks and hooks so I can refresh the walls with white paint and hang a new shower curtain AND then I was going to work my way thru every room in the house changing out accessories and the very NEXTÂ room was going to be HIS dressing room….The driver was silent. He professes to have hearing loss…..ok guys…we know you all have “Selective Hearing” and I often think, that dog don’t learn new tricks. Well, what that man’s ears don’t hear, his camera sharp eyes see everything and “record” on his cerebral computer…other then remembering to put things away, that’s the colander of his mind….
He disappeared, I thought, outside. I should have known, he was quiet, stealth quiet. When he got done, he had replaced every wire hanger in his closet with white plastic hangers for a “consistency” look in his closet, hung a new wood clock on his wall that better matched the furniture and told me to throw out the “touch” light on the dresser…I guess THAT room is done…It hair-lipped every cat in the county and the old adage is true, Pigs DO fly! ! ! !
