#236…Finishing up House Projects and Transitioning to Yard Workhorse

I was actually going to sneak out yesterday and rake a plot and sow poppy seeds which need to be inspired by cold weather AND IT RAINED.  Then the blizzard hit amidst 70 mph winds, the ice set in; power went out and cancelled our SAR meeting for tonight. Hub-sidekick has a good attitude about eating salad prepared for 30 people IF I boil some eggs and make it a Chef’s Salad…

It is amazing all the projects I have been able to finish this winter, even with Russ climbing the walls. This morning he begged for me to tell him what he could do…I told him I would put together a list, but 1st please go fix the loose toilet seat. Yes, he was happy to do that, but left afterwards in the snow and ice to run his errands, probably before I could give him more of a list. He seriously loves to help me. He runs to do a project almost before I finish my sentence. Where we run into trouble is that we speak two different languages. He WANTS TO HELP ME…those are deadly lyin’ words…define HELP. I want him to lend me a hand and do what I say…like put the chair over here. His definition is that if I step back, he will redo the complete room as he believes it should be regarding no balance, no straight lines, nothing. And he wants me to explain everything I want and why I would want that…

I told him next winter he has to get a part time job or volunteer somewhere.

I pray a lot. What would I do without the Lord?
