#131…Bedroom…Reveal #2

One room….. kitchenbedroomlivingroomdiningroomofficeourpresidentgotacquitted! Happy days! Finally the basement is done! The curtains set the stage, the 2 matching rugs incorporate the charcoal black of the hobbit table set, the mint green of the frig…the browns of the furniture and the splotch of orange, the accent splash! ! ! Diane H gave me the yellow folding child’s chair as I LOVEEEEEEE yellow. The throw rack is half of a ladder which you’ll see the taller half in the living room reveal….the BEAUTIFUL throw came from a garage sale for $1 The colors are identical to the kitchen reveal…WITH a stripe of purple which enhances the metal purple flowers we bought a couple of years ago at the Mesa Open Market in Phoenix. They were $39 and I haggled down to $26. That took me returning to the booth 3 times and the vendor finally agreed so I would leave him alone and NOT return! Hey! I’m a woman with a mission!

The table came out of a church in Union Star Mo. some 40 years ago from Russ’s life, the table scarf a gift to me in my life, and when I found the woven orange basket at a garage sale, yep, $1, it all tied together!

We come to the big piece of furniture. It IS the guest bedroom, so that would be the Murphy Bed from Nebraska Furniture Mart, excuse me, they call themselves NFM now….It’s a stunning piece that opens up into a LUSCIOUS queen bed with a THICK 10 inch memory foam mattress! It cost…………….an arm and a leg……..The 1920’s mirror above it was given to me by a beloved stepfatheroutlawfred. If you pull up Pinterest, you will find that living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, all are trending with round mirrors! The clock came from Rusty Chandelier in St. Joseph Mo. for $16. The canvas pic of my dog from Walmart, $39. And of course the continuing… from the kitchen, LED FLAT light panels from Menard’s with an atmosphere of daylight!

Did I mention the 50 cent velvet doilie out of the 20’s on the black hobbit? the garage sale $1 metal candle stand ? I painted beige to use as a vase for the 50 cent metal flower bunch I found 20 years ago?   It’s all about repurposing and starting a little warehouse basement/garage/closet where you can store all those goodies and put them together to transform your home. There is no reason anybody can’t have beautiful place to live! It’s all about THE HUNT!
