Hub side kick told everyone last year our house is never the same from one week to another. He has now revised it…he never knows what he will walk into.
So I posted Weds. morning that the remodel was done, decorated…..finishing touches done……beautiful! Then I left and spent the day with #1daughterconnie. Thrift stores, antique malls and the grand finale at The At Home store in Gladstone MO.
We only had to empty out and repack the back end of the car once! It was a 10 hour day this round and the TREASURES abounded! ! ! ! The cat on a wooden board was $8 at Hillcrest Thrift on sale with a blue tag at 75% off for $2. Another $2 for the blue/white throw pillow and $8 for the luscious olive throw.
Red Rock Antique mall netted the globe for $7 and the peep for $2. Top it off with so many unusual Christmas gifts, I’ll be wrapping for a week! “Make a note #2toodaughterbillie, it’s not to early to shop for MY Christmas giftS”.
The main things I was looking for on my list were lamp shades. I found 2 matching at Red Rock for $10 each. (not pictured here). I found the identical shades at “At Home” for $34.95 each! ! ! ! ! Then to my delight, I found the shade shown, a pillowticking for $19 that is perfect, with the same color as the drapes behind it. The blue and orange pillow at $17. Happy, happy, happy!
As this is only a partial showing of treasures I found, it took all day Thursday to “place” and put away. It’s going to be 56 degrees today so I’m working in the flower plots. Hens and chickens already popping up a week ago. Saw a couple of trees with blossoms on Ashland yesterday. Spring is bursting all around and I’m going to be ready BEFORE… Garage sales start up in 7 weeks……..
Snow due Tuesday and Wednesday. so wrapping up my winter projects. Russ cannot be found as he has been cleaning out fence rows all winter. GOD IS GOOD!
