Two months from start to finish. The magic word, as always, “HONEY!…what to you think of……..?” What I never thought would happen was that hub sidekick has been learning for the past 7 years all these decorating ideas FROM ME and now has his own itinerary! ! ! Most of the things in this open concept has been HIS work and I have been the labor force to clump everything of HIS, in a complementary contemporary coordinated cluster of cosmic current color.
The blue/white drapes set the perimeters for the preceding living room. There is HIS table and chairs from Hunterland Antique Mall for $225 bargained down to $150! A hanging playing card from a garage sale for $1, yellow cheese box for $6. As a matter of fact if you notice our card playing game/dining room transitioned over to YELLOW with red accents and the the complete 4 room open concept is highlighted with a splash of orange causing flow and consistency.
Russ sanded the top of the hostess cart and stained it to match the top of the fireplace he designed and built, which matches the wood shelves he built with plumbing parts in the living room. OK, so I did the bookcases which originally were black and I stressed with gray.
I was allowed to clean up and vacuum.
This morning is Thursday. This project finished up Tuesday. These pictures are now obsolete. #1daughterconnie and I went antiquing yesterday (Weds.). The cat drug home…….betwixt the two of us, BARGAINS ! ! ! ! The right colors of throw pillows, lampshades….and I can’t tell you all the secrets, that will be another blog……
I call them “tweeks”! It’s all about the HUNT! A hunt for treasures…leaving behind a path of strewn bodies rolling in the aisles with laughter at our outrageous antics! I need to get a job because the next ALL DAY shopping extravaganza lurks around the corner with that crazy woman, #3daughterinlawlessnesssilverlipmelinda…..
