We are getting so many projects done during this pandemic. Came home from Lowe’s yesterday with our patio plants on a most perfect sunny NO WIND day..a rarity on this tornado hill! For once, I did not have to tie myself to a tree to plant my flowers. So we spent 7 hours in the sun working our gardens. Russ had it rougher as he had to load and unload 400 lbs of rocks, dirt and topsoil. By 4;30 he was beat and retired into the garage to strip his filty clothes, on to shower and get in his pj’s and slippers. I followed a half hour later, showered and got in my pj’s and slippers. Put supper on and got on the internet.
Last week I put together groceries to donate to a food drive. Unbelievable that all I can find on the sites were pantries that will give out groceries but I could not find where to donate…..I told Russ, we are going to load all these things in the car and go from grocery store to grocery store asking if they have donation boxes. Very frustrating when I cannot work my way around the internet to find what I want!
Supper was delicious! Soft tacos in front of the nightly KQ2 TV news…. eating, enjoying our meal, relaxing at the end of the day…in the middle of our meal…. WHEN…… we heard that the National Guard was having a food drive at Sam’s Club and people had till 7 PM to donate. It was 6:20…………with singleness of mind and no regard for anything but that food drive, we jumped in the car in our pajamas, slippers….no purse, no billfold…..no driver’s license and we donated. Life is good…supper was still waiting for us…tv on…mission accomplished. #alonetogether
I don’t know where we can donate next week?
