#151…The “I Ain’t Got It Right” Dining Room YET!

The canvas IS who I am….my passion, talents….re-design…re-purpose. This treasure I found recently at Rusty Chandelier. I hung it in a neat space above a credenza, but the lighting wasn’t right and the more I looked at it, the more I thought it should go above the fireplace….but it would have been dwarfed by the big rocks and it wouldn’t stand out. I just stared at it for days. It had to be because I actually have those items seen in that storefront.

What an idea! Duplicating and then tweaking it a little bit, then #2toodaughterbillie saying it was too busy…removed some “stuff” and here we are. I don’t have a ship but maybe I will find one garage saling…..I added the basket of dishes I bought yesterday at Hillcrest Thrift Store in Platte City for $1.50, originally $6 on sale for 75% off. The bike was on the dining room wall for about 4 years…I have this massive fetish for wood boxes…..the orange candlelight used to be our front porch light, stripped and painted. The greatest treasure yesterday, was from Hillcrest Thrift in Kansas City towards Parkville and it was 6 hardback books by Sue Grafton of her alphabet series! ! ! …@ at $1.50.

I feel like we are getting finally getting beyond the covid-19 and the riots. We are all so sick of everything going on, it has worn us out. Today is a new day, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Let us get on with rebuilding our life, get our president re-elected, and build our future. Let us count our blessings.
