#166…Reading, Rriting, Repainting….The 3 “R’s”

1st day in years I didn’t work all day. A rarity for me. OK I did work a little on Chuck’s family tree with compiling death certificates and finding  wrong grave stones, but I sat and only taxed my mind, what is left of it. If you know my hub side kick, you’ll understand.

I have been faithful now in getting about 2 books a week read. Being an anal person of strict routines and disciplines, I had to find a system of reading, a sense of accomplishment, as I have hundreds of books….all kinds. So I’m taking the books I finish reading, and putting them back on the shelves backwards so you only see the pages facing you. But I have decided to read the books according to the alphabetical order of author’s names……Basically I have 3 categories….Fiction novels, murder mysteries and autobiographies…ok, biographies too. Oops, I forgot, a section of dog stories, another of just cat stories (favorite by Cleveland Amory) and a whole shelf of Christmas stories. The plan is to read of one category, then the next book is a biography, then on to the next section, a kind of rotation of sorts but will show up as progress on my shelves. I read my 1st David Baldacci espionage novel in 2 days. I could not believe that the end of EVERY chapter was impossible to stop there! That was an exciting 2 day read. Russ was only hoping I wouldn’t forget to fix dinner. The frozen pizza worked, afterwards on his own he fixed popcorn, had navel oranges and topped off with his sugar free cookies……

My blog is my Rriting…….which I am passionate about the written word BUT, using only my rules of talking. If I had to go by grammatical rules there would be no blog. I am amazed and surprised by the number of you who understand the nonsense and still follow. Maybe some of you are dysfunctional too, but don’t point fingers at ME! 2020 explains a lot of things. Normal is gone. Thank God that HE is not! ! !

Yesterday I laid down plastic and paper and tarps all over the basement floor in order to finish repainting a section of ceiling covering the ductwork. All other places are done after the 2X floods of 2020 and today’s work shall be done…3 coats. All that is left is for the upholsterer to call back with an estimate for some cushions. After that, I will post what our wonderful new floor looks like that Jimmie Hatley did. Just been waiting for all the damage to be dealt with!
