#101…Shut ‘er Down

It finally happened. I packed up and shut down my booth at Rusty Chandelier…….my home away from home. Six years of having multiple booths both at Rusty and Jesse James Antique Malls. A great time in my life, somewhere to go, something to do. But a part of my plan to move into my September 2019 Sabbatical kickoff…..Not to worry, Facebook has a wonderful Marketplace, St Joe Shop & Swap, etc……at this date a total of 14 FREE local online sites for buying & selling. But for now It’s such a pleasure to be buying only for myself!

That is an 8 ft credenza I bought at the Salvation Army for $100. Got it decored last year and all was well till I found the twig “something” at Hillcrest Thrift Store for $8. Then I read an article in HGTY about surrounding yourself with art, so now I’m on “THE HUNT” for oil paintings!

#2daughter2Too bought the oval table for me for Mother’s Day so I replaced my wicker “stuff” with the TREASURE. My new problem now, THERE IS NO MORE ROOM! New idea in, old out!

This is my new flat file metal cabinet for my shop. A great place for torn out magazine pages! I bought it in a rainstorm at a garage sale for half price at $7.50. Would you believe I bought a BUTTER YELLOW spray paint for this…..AND for the metal lockers?

Please understand that this IS the direction my Sabbatical is headed, along with road trips to cemeteries for my DAR application…..I should put together my “SAB” list and see if I can get it done in 2 years, God willing and the creek don’t rise. I’m in trouble already. I live in Missouri where we don’t need to pack to go to the lake, the lake comes to us!
