#184…Have You Sang Your Song?

I’m discovering my 3 adult granddaughters, all beautiful women! Each unique with different genes of all the grandparents they no longer remember. Some of their wonderful traits mingled with the bad stuff. One is  highly intelligent beyond her years. Another has the heart of my grandma and is loving and kind behind her facade, another can stretch a dollar, make it squeak and cry for mercy!

So in the process of doing genealogy to prove that we have ancestors of the American Revolutionary War, I am amazed to learn  what our people have done. Some have left a “legacy”, mind you, not everyone, but they didn’t JUST get up, go to work, come home, go to bed, just to start all over again. This is the point! Some did something that was written about, that was passed on with family stories, documented, giving inspiration to our family that we also could do great things. That in each one of us, WE HAVE A SONG TO SING, and let us NOT go to our grave without ever singing it.

Had I died in my 40’s, it could have been said about me, I got married, had babies, fed them, cleaned house, had a garden, raised my family, kept a clean house…… But what would have been said about WHO  I WAS? Today I can claim that I have done and accomplished more in the last 20 years then in my whole life. I have PASSIONATELY sought the Lord, always believing….Exploring my giftings, my talents, my desires to learn more has taken me places I never thought I would walk. Through the tragic, heart rendering, “tear my life apart” divorce….. I discovered God is alive and real and that He created me to be someone, I just had to find myself. My 1st 2 lessons..if you want to be loved, you must 1st love; if you want a friend, you must 1st be friendly.

I am very eclectic, thus the agate roadrunner thrills my peculiar heart….a stamp? Could that be a life changing new discovery? Paint therapy, I’m now painting walls black and then this ammo box…..I write, I blog…I sing many songs…a passion for learning more about God and letting Him open the doors to who they will become is what I leave my granddaughters to teach to my great grandchildren. With Him you can do all things. You cannot imagine what all He has in store for you! ! !

“Oh how we danced on the night we were wed” 9 years ago. YES,  I believed God would send a new husband and he would find ME. Oh, how we two-stepped at Gage’s wedding 2 weeks ago……
